Dr. Randy "Boom Boom" Blake Jr. — a 5-Time World Champion, humanitarian leader, author, motivational speaker, and mentor whose life represents perseverance, mental toughness, discipline, and the relentless pursuit of greatness.
For more than 30 years, Randy has dedicated his life to martial arts and personal development. What began as a journey to overcome adversity and build confidence became a lifelong mission to inspire others. Through discipline, sacrifice, and the belief that champions are created through challenges, Randy transformed himself from a young person facing adversity into one of the most respected figures in combat sports and martial arts.
Randy proudly holds the rank of 6th Degree Black Belt in Karate, a milestone achieved after decades of commitment, training, teaching, and dedication to the martial arts. His promotion was recognized at the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame before the International Martial Arts Council of America, surrounded by more than 20 Grand Masters representing over 1,100 years of combined martial arts knowledge, experience, and dedication. This honor represents not only technical achievement, but a lifetime of leadership, mentorship, and commitment to preserving the values of martial arts.
As a 5-Time ISKA World Heavyweight Champion, Randy has left his mark on the global stage of combat sports, competing among elite athletes and representing martial arts at the highest levels. In 2012, he captured his first ISKA World Heavyweight Muay Thai Championship, becoming Oklahoma's first heavyweight Muay Thai World Champion and establishing himself as a pioneer in the state's combat sports history.
His championship career includes competing on major platforms such as K-1, GLORY, and Chuck Norris' World Combat League, where he demonstrated the heart, discipline, and warrior spirit that became the foundation of his legacy. Randy also became the first American to win against an international opponent in GLORY — a milestone in a sport where American fighters have historically struggled to compete at the international level. Through decades of competition, Randy established himself as one of America's most accomplished kickboxers of his era, combining world championship success, rare international victories, and a lifelong commitment to martial arts leadership, mentorship, and service.
However, Randy's greatest victories have never only been inside the ring.
Beyond competition, Randy has dedicated his life to serving others. As a humanitarian leader, he uses his personal journey of overcoming bullying, adversity, and obstacles to empower people from all walks of life. Through martial arts seminars, motivational speaking engagements, community outreach, schools, churches, colleges, correctional facilities, and corporate events, Randy shares a message of hope, accountability, and transformation.
Randy is the best-selling author of "BOOM: A True Story of Perseverance, Mental Toughness, and Overcoming Adversity," a powerful story that captures his journey from struggle to success and the lessons learned along the way. As a Goal Success Life Coach, leadership mentor, and international motivational speaker, Randy teaches others how to develop discipline, overcome challenges, set meaningful goals, and become champions not just in competition, but in life.
Recognized with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, honored with an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities for his contributions to leadership, education, martial arts, and humanitarian service, and a multi-time Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductee, Randy continues to use his platform to create a positive impact.
His philosophy is simple:
Champions are not defined by what happens when everything goes right. Champions are defined by how they respond when life tests them.
Today, Dr. Randy "Boom Boom" Blake Jr. continues his mission to build champions in the ring of life — inspiring the next generation to rise above adversity, believe in themselves, and discover the greatness within.
